Offline QR Code Generator
This generator has no server to talk to. Your browser encodes the QR code itself, using a script that is already on your device — so it keeps working on a plane, in a basement, at a trade show with terrible Wi-Fi, or during an outage.
Generate a QR code right now
Try it with your Wi-Fi switched off. It will still work.
Need another type — Wi-Fi, vCard, UPI, WhatsApp? Use the full generator (also offline once the page has loaded).
Nothing is sent anywhere, so nothing can fail
Most online QR generators build your code on their server. That means your URL, Wi-Fi password or payment ID travels over the internet — and the tool stops working the moment your connection does.
Encoding happens locally
The QR encoder is a JavaScript file (~20 KB) that runs inside your browser. There is no API call, no upload, and no queue. Your text never leaves the device.
Works in flight mode
Once this page has loaded even once, the service worker keeps a copy on your device. Switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data, and you can still generate and download codes.
Safe for secrets
Because nothing is transmitted, this is safe for genuinely sensitive payloads — guest Wi-Fi passwords, internal-only links, door codes and one-off access tokens.
Using it with no connection
Keep it on your home screen
You can install this generator like an app. After that it opens instantly and never needs a connection.
Android / Chrome
Open the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. The QR icon appears alongside your other apps.
iPhone / Safari
Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Safari handles offline pages differently, so load the page once before relying on it.
Desktop
In Chrome or Edge look for the install icon in the address bar. It installs as a standalone window with no browser chrome.
What works offline — and what does not
Works with no connection
- Generating every QR type (URL, text, Wi-Fi, vCard, UPI, email, SMS, social)
- Colours, centre logo, error-correction levels
- Downloading the PNG and copying it to your clipboard
- Bulk generation from a pasted list — including the ZIP download
Still needs a connection
- Opening a link that a QR code points to — the destination is on the internet
- Anything requiring an account, analytics or a dashboard
- Scanning with a browser that has no built-in decoder
One honest caveat: a static QR code printed on paper keeps working forever, but it always points to whatever you encoded. If the destination changes, the printed code becomes useless. That is a property of static codes, not of this tool.
