FAQ

vCard QR Code questions, answered

What is a vCard?
A vCard (VCF) is a standard digital contact format — the same structure your phone’s "export contact" feature uses. Our QR encodes one, so scanning it triggers "add contact" on most phones.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. The iPhone camera recognizes vCard QR codes and offers to save the contact directly.
Can I include multiple phone numbers or photos?
The built-in generator covers the core fields (name, company/title, phone, email, website) which is what 99% of cards need. For richer cards, create a .vcf file and point a URL QR at it.
Will it still work if I change jobs?
Use a dynamic QR code and update the vCard behind it — the printed code never changes.
Does scanning automatically save my contact?
Most phones show a preview with an add-contact option (iOS and Android both support vCard QR codes). Some browsers open a viewer instead — the person confirms the save.
